One budget. Two payoff strategies.

Compare highest interest first with smallest balance first. Freed repayments roll into the debts that remain.

Compare the methods.

The avalanche method prioritises the highest interest rate. The snowball method prioritises the smallest remaining balance. Both maintain the same starting monthly budget. Enter zero balance to exclude a row. The comparison assumes fixed minimum payments, constant rates and no further borrowing.

Keep the plan realistic.

The tool is a repayment model, not a settlement quote. It excludes fees, insurance and penalties. Each active debt needs a positive minimum payment. If the budget does not cover starting interest or payoff exceeds 50 years, the calculator asks you to revise the inputs.
